SAUNA has its own private sauna, and other houses can rent a tent sauna — then cool off outdoors in the forest air. From spring to autumn, you can also enjoy a BBQ right outside your house (both require advance booking).

ACCESS

Location

A forest district close to Akakura Onsen in Myoko City, Niigata Prefecture (LUXE is in Akakura; the others are in Futamata). About 10 minutes by car from Myoko-Kogen Station and Myoko-Kogen IC.

In winter (around December 15 – March 31), a 4WD vehicle fitted with studless (winter) tires is essential.

From Tokyo (Hokuriku Shinkansen, change at Joetsumyoko Station): Approx. 2 hr 20 min + drive
From Tokyo (by car via the Joshin-etsu Expressway, Myoko-Kogen IC): Approx. 3 hr
Akakura Onsen Ski Resort / Akakura Kanko Resort: A few minutes by car

FAQ

Booking on our official site costs about 10% less than on other booking sites (best rate guarantee).

CABIN 1 and 2 welcome dogs (dogs only; a signed agreement is required). Pets are not permitted at the other properties.

The private sauna at SAUNA does not need to be booked. Tent sauna rental is a paid option and must be booked in advance.

Please come in a 4WD vehicle fitted with studless (winter) tires (2WD vehicles cannot make it, even SUVs or cars fitted with chains). SAUNA, LODGE and CABIN have on-site parking in winter too. For LUXE and VILLA, we provide a shuttle from a nearby paid car park.
